Apartments Chez Anke: La Calade
Presentation
Lovely cottage for 2 people in Saint‑Laurent‑des‑Arbres, a listed medieval village, just 15 minutes from Avignon.
Have you ever spent your holidays in a dovecote? That’s exactly what I’m offering you!
This studio is located in an old barn that we transformed—after long and meticulous work—into an original two‑level holiday accommodation. On the ground floor, you will find the living room and the kitchen. A wooden staircase leads to the mezzanine, where the double bed is located.
The accommodation overlooks our garden, a natural garden where you can relax. Enjoy the peace and quiet in the shade of an old fig tree with a chilled glass of rosé, accompanied by olives and other delights you will have found at the Provençal markets in the morning…
The indicated price includes bed linen, towels and end‑of‑stay cleaning. However, I kindly ask you to leave the apartment in a tidy condition when you depart.
You can usually park your vehicle right at the entrance of the apartment. Parking is available in the garden, and additional parking spaces can be found opposite the gate or in the village.
Saint‑Laurent‑des‑Arbres is an excellent starting point for visiting Provence and the surrounding regions. It takes just over half an hour by car to reach Orange, Avignon, Nîmes or Arles—jewels of Provence—and these are only a few of the countless sites and attractions available to visitors!
Away from the major tourist routes, the narrow and winding roads that weave through charming landscapes of lavender fields and olive groves, passing through small Provençal villages, are a delight to explore.
And then there is the Mediterranean—sunny days for swimming are almost guaranteed!
The highest mountain in Provence, Mont Ventoux, rising to about 2,000 meters, is a wonderful destination for nature lovers, botanists, hikers, and even motorcyclists, as the summit is accessible by a well‑maintained road. More generally, the entire region is perfect for motorbike and bicycle tourism.
At the beginning of your stay, don’t forget to stop by the Tourist Office. They will provide you with a wealth of information about the region.
Throughout your excursions, you will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy wine tastings and enrich your cellar with the finest local vintages!
