Where are the tourist information offices?

How do I get to Provence Occitane?

The region is accessible by car via the A7 and A9 motorways, by train (Bagnols-sur-Cèze and Pont-Saint-Esprit stations), by plane (Avignon, Nîmes, Marseille and Lyon airports) and by bus. See the Coming to Provence Occitane page for full details.

Where can I park my motorhome?

Motorhome parking areas are available in several communes in Provence Occitane. You can find their location and facilities in the Motorhome parks section.

Where can I find an electric car charging point?

Charging stations are available in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, Pont-Saint-Esprit, Goudargues and other towns. See the page Where can I recharge my car? for a full map.

Can we visit the vineyards?

Yes, many wineries offer tours, tastings and wine tourism activities. To find out more, take a look at our interactive map.

What to do with children

Where can I buy local produce?

Almost every commune has a weekly farmers’ market, often in the morning. You’ll find local, organic and artisanal products. You can also visit our producers who sell their produce locally, or visit the Tourist Office shops.

Where can I hire a bike?

Bicycle hire companies (classic or electric) are located in and around Goudargues and Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Some accommodation with the “Accueil Vélo” label also offers this service.

What are the must-see sites?

The Sautadet waterfalls, the listed villages of Aiguèze, Montclus and La Roque-sur-Cèze, the Chartreuse de Valbonne, the Gallo-Roman oppida, the Cèze and Rhône rivers… The list goes on! See all our exceptional sites in our Destinations pages.

Can I bring my dog?

Is there a GR circuit in Provence Occitane?

Yes, the area is crossed by the GR 42, which links Saint-Étienne to Beaucaire along the Rhône, and the GR 4, which passes nearby along an east-west line. There are also over 650km of waymarked foot paths for walkers of all abilities. These routes allow you to explore the unspoilt landscapes of Provence Occitane, between forests, garrigues, vineyards, waterways and hilltop villages. Where can you swim in Provence Occitane?

In Provence Occitane, you can swim in the heart of nature thanks to our three main rivers – the Cèze, Ardèche and Tave – which offer numerous unsupervised natural beaches (Roque-sur-Cèze, Montclus, Goudargues…). You can also visit our municipal swimming pools (Bagnols-sur-Cèze and Pont-Saint-Esprit).

Can I come without a car?

What are the main historic sites in Provence Occitane?

Provence Occitane is bursting with heritage treasures that bear witness to its thousand-year-old history, from Antiquity to the present day. Among the must-sees are Caesar’s Camp, theOppidum de Gaujac, the Chartreuse de Valbonne, the medieval castles of Montclus, Gicon in Chusclan and Castellas in Saint-Victor-la-Coste, listed villages such as Aiguèze, Montclus and La Roque-sur-Cèze, and the medieval bridge at Pont-Saint-Esprit, one of the oldest bridges over the Rhône.
