The Primeurs have been held for over 200 years, initiated by the English and reserved exclusively for the wine trade. It’s only since the 1980s that private customers have been able to enjoy the privilege of discovering Primeur wines. Here, the adventure began in 1993: we’ve been celebrating new wines for over 30 years now…
The festivities begin on Thursday 20 November, from 6.30pm on the Place Mallet in Bagnols-sur-Cèze.
Organised by the Côtes du Rhône rive droite association, in partnership with winegrowers and restaurateurs, you’ll be able to taste their primeur wines and other vintages.
Buy your tasting glass bearing the event logo, and set off to meet our winegrowers to discuss, share and, of course, taste their precious nectars.
A competition will be held for the different en primeur wines presented that evening, and after tastings and deliberations, one winemaker will be rewarded for his or her wine and work!
It’s a great way to bring together local residents, winemakers and wine lovers in a festive atmosphere.
On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November, discover the 21 cellars, estates and châteaux on the right bank of the Rhône that are opening their doors to you. Dinners, tastings, walks through the vineyards, markets, local produce, tours… each estate organises this convivial and festive occasion in its own way…
Discover the programme, plan your tour and meet these passionate men and women.
