Theatre: The Day of the Poppy

With gentleness, humor and wit, Cie Histoire De weaves together theater and video for the whole family. Each age and gender will experience this adventure in its own way. That’s what theater is for: weaving a dialogue.

Synopsis: It’s not easy to grow up, it’s not easy to grow old… It’s obvious, yet when it happens, sometimes it’s confusing… Sam is in the process of becoming a young girl. She’s overwhelmed by her emotions when she realizes on the first day of her period that she can’t stop time: she has to grow up. She needs to talk to someone who will take her seriously. She has grown-up problems now. But the only one she dares confide in right now is Lapin, her mythical, faded cuddly toy. Grandma, perhaps? But she seems less and less there, lost in the limbo of her memory. Will Sam be able to talk to her in time? The situation is urgent: in the little girl’s head, it’s about to explode, and in Grandma’s, it’s about to fade away.
