Theatre ‘Nuit d’Ivresse’ (Night of Intoxication)

The play ‘Nuit d’Ivresse’ (Night of Drunkenness), created at the Théâtre du Splendid in 1985 by Josiane Balasko and Michel Blanc, is being performed in Laudun. This is a wonderful opportunity to rediscover the cult lines from this comedy classic.
Jacques Belin, a self-absorbed television presenter, finds himself alone in a bar after an important dinner is cancelled.
In search of company, he meets Simone, a forthright woman who is a little lost and has recently been released from prison.
With the help of alcohol, they spend a turbulent night, oscillating between arguments, laughter and moments of tenderness.
As the evening progresses, the masks come off, giving way to a touching and hilarious human encounter.
