The Heritage Run – Pont-Saint-Esprit

Les Foulées du Patrimoine offers a fun-filled day to discover local heritage in a different way. On the programme: mountain biking, walking, running, children’s races and heritage treasure hunts for all ages.

Event organised by the Frontales et Boussoles association in partnership with the municipality of Pont-Saint-Esprit, taking place on Sunday 1 March 2026 during the traditional Spring Fair.
Last year, the funds raised were used to restore the Borne fountain. This year, 50% of the profits will go towards the renovation of another monument in Pont-Saint-Esprit.

Programme:

– 10 km walk: Departure at 9:00 a.m.
Untimed event, open to everyone aged 10 and over (minors must be accompanied).
The route passes by iconic monuments such as the Collegiate Church and the Priory.

– 10 km run: Start at 9:30 a.m.
Timed race with 80 m elevation gain.
The route passes by iconic monuments such as the Collegiate Church and the Priory.

– 5 km run: Start at 10:00 a.m.
Timed race with 20 m elevation gain.
The route passes by iconic monuments such as the Collegiate Church and the Priory.

– Heritage Mountain Bike Loops: Start at 2pm and finish at 5pm
A 5km timed course to be completed as many times as possible in 3 hours.
Natural obstacles are replaced by street furniture (stairs, pavements, drains, etc.), passages through several of the town’s monuments (Town Hall, Collegiate Church, Priory, etc.), technical sections, rolling sections, sharp bends and other features that riders must complete as many times as possible in 3 hours.
A secure bike park will be available for participants.
You will experience a whole new kind of fun as you race down the streets, stairs and monuments to the applause of spectators.
Helmets are compulsory.

– Children’s races: Start at 11.30am for 8-10 year olds and 11.45am for 11-13 year olds.
Secure 1.4 km loop in the heart of Pont-Saint-Esprit.
Rewards for all participants.
Parents are not allowed to run with their children.

– Heritage Hunt: Start anytime between 8 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.
A family-friendly cultural game accessible to all.
Participants purchase one or more maps indicating the location of around twenty letters to be found on monuments and at sponsoring businesses.
You can explore the city on foot, by bike or by running, depending on your preference.
No stopwatch, no stress, no competition: the hunt lasts about two hours, but you can do it at your own pace throughout the day.
The letters form a mystery word to be found.
Each card purchased will give you a chance to be drawn in the evening raffle.
Winners will be invited to collect their prizes from partner shops on presentation of their winning card only.

Refreshments will be available at the start/finish and along the route.
