Les vendanges de l'histoire à Chusclan, grande fête du terroir et des traditions vigneronnes au coeur de la Provence Occitane
Chusclan

The grape harvest of history

Presentation

Get ready to step back in time!
A popular and traditional festival, the Vendanges de l’Histoire is both a return to the roots of the past and a return to authenticity in today’s world.

For two days, this festival of local produce and winegrowing traditions immerses visitors in the atmosphere of a Rhone village in days gone by. The straw-covered streets are trodden by costumed winegrowers, horses and antique tractors. The garages are transformed into little stalls where you can browse through regional products, arts and crafts and taste the wines of the Chusclan appellation (around 60 stalls).

There’s plenty of entertainment on the programme, including demonstrations of old-fashioned crafts, musical entertainment, old-fashioned harvesting and a winegrowers’ procession, heritage discovery, Provençal mass and songs, a walk, a classic car rally, exhibitions of motorbikes and equipment from the early 20th century, an educational farm, old-fashioned games, etc.
