Tana & The Pocket Philharmonic returns with a new album entitled “Summertime.” This 4th opus remains true to the lyricism and magic of the group’s early days while exploring themes of change and optimism: a transformation of the world around us, of consciousness, and inevitably of music itself. The ukulele often gives way to a colorful and powerful guitar, the double bass and electric bass share the tracks, keyboards draw from both electronic music and the richness of the acoustic piano, the drums are now omnipresent, while the violins continue their solemn and lyrical flights from album to album. A music drawing inspiration from many styles, from roots rock to rock’n’roll, classical to rocksteady, synth-pop, and film scores. A stunning cocktail, a truly enchanting, melodic, and groovy tidal wave, incredibly universal, that simply takes us to where it feels good.
