Special exhibition at the Gard Museum of Secular Sacred Art: Gérard Lattier’s illustrated gospel

Gérard Lattier began drawing at a very young age, despite a serious illness. His painting is nourished by stories that have been passed down, reinterpreted using a language all his own,

Initially in the warm, dark hues inherited from the underworld of Hieronymus Bosch, over the years his palette became lighter and brighter.

In the Gospels series, created between 2006 and 2010 and to which the exhibition is dedicated, he rediscovers the colors of the Flemish painter’s Garden of Delights, and conveys the message of the Apostles in a free, earthy tone.

From 16/10/2025 to 17/05/2026 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends.
