Show for young audiences: The Little Prince

Presentation

It’s a show in itself, the art of the ephemeral and the suggestive. Landscapes and portraits follow on from one another in a very fluid, rapid succession. A show to enjoy with the whole family, for the pleasure of both eyes and ears!

By Christian POCHET

“Draw me a sheep” is an emblematic phrase that has become part of our collective memory. Why not draw this sheep with sand? Well, it’s done, the tale of the Little Prince in sand drawing made on a light table with over 80 drawings done in a fluid way, this moving sand suggesting all these sensations of dream, imagination, unreal, wisdom, ignorance, travel, adventure, responsibility and understanding of others, embodied by this character that is the Little Prince.
It’s all there, the place: the desert and the sand in which this little character described by Saint-Exupéry appears, and materially this sand placed on this luminous table designed for this slightly crazy show, which leaves all these beautiful images suggested by the tale sent in video projection on a large screen.
And to revive our memories, a storyteller whispers emblematic passages from this marvellous work… Suspended moments where words come to life in the sand.
