Orsan’s Historical Weekends
Presentation
For its 5th edition, on 6 and 7 June 2026, the ‘Orsan Historical Weekends’ association invites the public to immerse themselves in its free multi-period event.
Much more than mere entertainment, it serves as a genuine bridge between our present and bygone eras. Through period-accurate costumes, gestures and workshops, we bring moments of history back to life, ensuring that every detail becomes a teaching tool.
During their visit, visitors will be able to discover over a hundred re-enactors representing:
*The 18th-century Royal Marine Infantry Corps, presented by the Fabulatores association
*The presence of Captain Bonaparte en route to the siege of Toulon (Les Armées d’autrefois)
*Demonstrations and introductory sessions on medieval combat for children by the AMHE Academy
*Medieval combat and entertainment by the Compagnie Merces
*Field cannon firing from the First Empire by the AD HISTORIA LUX association
*Entertainment from the Roman era by the Casse-cou Baratineurs
*Recruitment office from the First Empire by the Aigles d’Alienor
*Renaissance dances with Catherine de Medici and her court by the Edit de Roussillon
*Lectures on the topographical service of the First Empire and the history of combat in the Middle Ages
*Soldiers of the Great War by the Poilus du Vaucluse
*The Allied forces during the Second World War by the Association des Ailes et des Toiles
