As night falls, a light and sound show brings the buildings and the park to life with a spellbinding story. Why did our prehistoric ancestors go deep into caves to draw?
On Monday and Thursday evenings this summer, from 6 July to 27 August 2026, from 6.15 pm to 12.30 am, experience prehistory in a whole new way with Les Soirées de Chauvet!
Through the magic of video projections, sound, lighting and storytelling, visitors are invited to wander through the grounds of the Grotte Chauvet 2 – Ardèche to discover the myths of our origins. Discover the light and sound trail, the playful, spectacular, poetic and musical installations, and our entertainment programme!
