Concert Thomas Fersen “Vibrations”

For his latest show, he calls on the SR9 trio. The xylophone, vibraphone and piano envelop his songs in spellbinding sounds, amplifying the unreality and fantasy of the characters.

The SR9 trio is directed by Clément Ducol, and recently won an Oscar for the soundtrack to Jacques Audiard’s film Emilie Perez.
Thomas Fersen’s songs are enveloped in enchanting sounds, carried by xylophone, vibraphone, glockenspiel, marimba and piano.

Since the release of his first album in 1993, Thomas Fersen has established himself as an essential singer-songwriter, a poet of French chanson with a mischievous spirit. His albums and songs have become cult references. Thirty-two years after Le bal des oiseaux, his seminal debut opus, Thomas Fersen returns to Tôt Ou Tard, the label that launched his career, with a new album entitled Le choix de la reine, released last February.

“My conception of scenography rejects the frozen image in favor of the living image, created in the moment by the word, silence, gesture, and the vibrations of metal and wood blades. The aim is to reveal the invisible at the heart of the theatrical space. That’s Thomas Fersen’s promise for this unique show, guaranteed to thrill.
