Chapel Festival – Fado and Portuguese-language songs

See the program
Presentation

In this duo, vocals and guitar interact on an equal footing, reinterpreting original compositions and traditional tunes through unconventional arrangements.

Since 2022, Chloé Breillot (vocals) and Pierrick Hardy (guitar) have been reinterpreting the Portuguese-language repertoire, with a particular focus on Lisbon fado. The songs they perform, chosen for their power and poetic brilliance, convey desire and sorrow, love and longing with the authenticity of folk songs.

A journey through these repertoires of yesterday and today in their original language, to which Pierrick’s shimmering playing and Chloé’s striking voice breathe new life.
