Celebrations marking the Battle of Camerone in Laudun l’Ardoise

The 1st REG will be celebrating the 163rd anniversary of the Battle of Camerone on 30 April and 1 May. There will be open days on both days, featuring a fair, entertainment stalls and a big raffle.

Thursday 30 April
9.30 am: Doors open to the public
10.30 am: Military parade
12.30 pm: Fair
8 pm to 2 am: Miss Képi Blanc contest and Legionnaires’ Ball

Friday 1 May
12 noon to 8 pm: Fair
4 pm to 6 pm: Raffle

From Thursday 30 April to Friday 1st of May 2026 on Thursday between 9.30 am and 2 am. On Friday between 12 pm and 8 pm.
