Tresques

A jewel in the heart of the Tave valley

Tresques is a remarkable and typically village steeped in history and culture, surrounded by varied natural landscapes. A lovely place where history, culture and nature meet for the pleasure of visitors and locals. Clinging to a rock that dominates the sun-drenched plain of the Tave, the village is a maze of narrow lanes with vaulted passages, old stone facades and buttressed arches. At its highest point we find the remains of a fortified castle and a watchtower that is both an exceptional viewpoint and a cultural venue for exhibitions and concerts. Around Tresques, you can walk the hiking trails in search of Romanesque chapels and magical landscapes.
