Montfaucon
Presentation
An identity and a dynamic
Nestled in a meander of the Rhône, on the right bank of the king-river, let yourself be surprised by Montfaucon. Dominated by a feudal fortified castle unique in France (private), this peaceful village willingly cultivates its rural identity imbued with conviviality and sharing. Historically oriented towards the Rhône, Montfaucon has inherited a heritage that reflects this strong relationship. A hike is a must to discover the chapel and priory dedicated to boatmen as well as the promontory of the Saint-Maur hill, a magnificent viewpoint over Occitan Provence and the Vaucluse. Another treasure of the village: it is one of the nine original communes of the Côte du Rhône. An invitation to discover the wines produced here, particularly the three colors of the renowned Lirac* cru, while enjoying the legendary hospitality of the villagers.
