Presentation

Un village remarquable, une ville attractive

As a family, with friends, or as a couple: come and visit Laudun-L’Ardoise, this small, unique town in the heart of Occitan Provence. Independently or by downloading an application accessible to all, set off on foot or by bike to discover the treasures with which history has richly endowed the commune. In the centre of Laudun, you will find numerous preserved vestiges from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and can follow in the footsteps of the painters Auguste Renoir and Albert André. Continue your walk on the Sainte-Foy hill, a natural prominence overlooking the village and housing a hanging garden, the pretty Chapel of the White Penitents (Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs), and a Virgin with Child statue. Higher still, on the vast Lacau plateau, go back to Roman times at the Camp de César, an exciting archaeological site. Around the town, let yourself be charmed by the beauty of the landscapes and the nobility of the vineyards, and who knows if, around a corner, you won’t have some pleasant surprises !
